Frequently Asked Questions
How do you handle Confidential Matters?
All of our communication is confidential, even if you never become a client of mine. I cannot and will not share your information with others. I cannot even confirm with the person who referred you that you reached out to me. You control who gets to be a part of your healing journey.
Do you offer Telehealth Counseling?
I prefer my clients consider in-person treatment as the healing is far more substantial from my professional experience especially when dealing with trauma and abuse counseling. That being said, I can do telehealth from time to time to help avoid a cancelation if you are not feeling well enough to be around others.
What is your process when working with children?
If you are bringing your child to see me for divorce or abuse counseling, you may want to consider scheduling the first session with just you (or both parents). If your child comes from a divorced family, I will need to meet with both parents prior to meeting your child and will want both parents to sign a consent to treat. If you’re looking for a therapist to go to court for you, while I’m not that person, I may be able to help you find a therapist who will.
What kind of Abuse Counseling do you offer

How long and how much is your counseling service?
Entering trauma or abuse counseling is a big decision both emotionally and financially. I ask my clients to think about committing to 10-12 weeks. Thats the amount of time my clients start making break throughs and healing occurs. But rest assured you’re not signing a 10 week contract. At the moment, I only accept private pay clients and I realize that is not for everyone. My session fee is $125 for 55 minutes of dedicated counseling. I can accept credit cards, cash or a check (there is a fee for returned checks).
I want to move forward, how do I do that?
Once you decide to move forward, I will send you a link to my client portal where you can complete and e-sign your paperwork and even add your credit card for on-line payments. I will review that during our first session, it will allow us more time to talk about you during our first assessment.
What is your preferred method communication?
My preferred communication is through email as it is a bought domain, HIPAA compliant, encrypted for security and the safest way to protect your privacy. I don’t mind confirming an appointment through text but sharing your personal story should be in the privacy of my office.
